Like a Child

But Jesus called them to him, saying, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."
Luke 18:16-17

During my last week in D., we held a kind of "Kids' Club/VBS" for the children. Every afternoon, we invited children to our house to learn Bible verses, sing songs, play games, listen to a Bible story, and eat snacks. I helped out as much as I could, but I felt that I was learning right alongside the children. On the first day, about 15 children came. I had time to learn every child's name and participate in the game. Throughout the week, we continued to pray that more children would have the opportunity to hear from God's words and that adults would not try to prevent Kids' Club from happening. By the end of the week, we had almost 100 children attend. I was so excited to see children from many different families learning about the gift of eternal life that Jesus gives. Praise God! I'm praying that the children would remember the verses and stories that they learned and that they would share the Good News with the rest of their families. Since I'm back home, I can finally share a few pictures with you. Here are pictures from Kids' Club!

The game station that I was leading.

 Throwing lawn rings!

Inside the house and ready to hear a Bible story on the second to last day. Look how many kids there are!
