Update on Dates

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10

This past week has been a bit busy as I've been packing, scheduling, planning transportation, and applying to medical school. Since I haven't posted in a while, I have a few exciting updates to share:

  • My departure date is now Monday, June 28. I will be flying to Nairobi via Dubai to start orientation and training in the Eastern Africa office of AIM.
  • My return date is Sunday, August 22. To have more time on the field, I will be flying from Nairobi to LA. This means that I will not be able to debrief at the AIM headquarters on the East Coast, but I'll still debrief after I return home.
  • I will be bringing two blood pressure cuffs to the clinic. Unfortunately, I was not able to get all the clinic supplies that are needed, but I am excited to be bringing something that will help the mission of the clinic.
  • I submitted my primary application to medical school! I feel like this is a huge weight off my shoulders... until the secondary applications come out. At least I have a little break in between.

At church this past Sunday, the title of the sermon was "On Mission." I was reminded that we all have a part in God's mission, whether we are sending or being sent. And even in the midst of all this preparation that we are doing, God has already prepared so much for us. I am excited for how He will be working in and through both you and me this summer. Thank you for praying for me and partnering with me in this mission!
